FPSHQ shows how many FPS your graphics card and CPU will deliver in any of 152 000+ games at 1080p, 1440p and 4K. Numbers are independent measurements (106 in the database: review tests and verified player measurements), aggregated review data (4,800 rows) or the unified FPSHQ model calibrated on them; every number is labelled, and the methodology is open. How FPSHQ works

What is FPSHQ and what data does it run on?

FPSHQ is a games and PC database: 151,711 games, 1,965 GPUs and 456 CPUs. FPS is estimated by the single FPSHQ model: it combines official system requirements (131,130 games with a Steam requirements page), hardware benchmark scores, 106 independent FPS measurements (review tests and verified player measurements) and 4,800 rows of aggregated review data, and returns FPS for any game + GPU + CPU combination at 1080p, 1440p and 4K. The online PC test has been taken 1,361 times. Every number comes from the FPSHQ database, with an update date and an open methodology.

Frequently asked questions

How does FPSHQ predict FPS?
Estimates come from the single FPSHQ model. It is calibrated on FPS data from reviews and players — 106 independent measurements and 4,800 rows of aggregated review data (76 games and 104 GPUs) and takes into account the game’s official system requirements, GPU and CPU performance scores, resolution and graphics preset. Where there is no direct measurement, the model’s estimate is shown and labelled as such; the methodology is public on the “Methodology” page.
How many games are in the FPSHQ database?
The FPSHQ database covers 151,711 games, 1,965 graphics cards (including vendor versions) and 456 processors. 131,130 games have official system requirements from Steam. New games and hardware are added as they are released, and pages show their update date.
Is FPSHQ free?
Yes. The FPS estimate, “can it run”, bottleneck, comparisons and the online PC test are free and work without registration; the FPSHQ app for Windows is free too. The site shows ads — an FPSHQ Pro subscription turns them off.
How is FPSHQ different from userbenchmark.com?
UserBenchmark compares hardware with synthetic scores. FPSHQ answers “how many FPS will I get in this game”: it shows FPS in 151,711 games at 1080p, 1440p and 4K, separates measurements and aggregated review data (106 independent measurements and 4,800 rows of aggregated review data) from model estimates and publishes its methodology and update date.
Does FPSHQ have a desktop application?
Yes, the free FPSHQ app for Windows 10/11 (a portable version without installation is available). It detects your hardware, finds your Steam, Epic and GOG games, forecasts FPS for each and measures real FPS and 1% lows. There is no macOS version yet. Download: fpshq.com/desktop/windows/
How to check if my PC can run a specific game?
Enter the game and your graphics card in the “Find your FPS” form at the top of this page — FPSHQ shows FPS at 1080p, 1440p and 4K and a “can it run” verdict. Every game page (e.g. fpshq.com/games/cyberpunk-2077/) has an FPS table for popular GPUs, and the FPSHQ app for Windows detects your hardware and forecasts FPS for installed games.
What GPU is best for 1440p in 2026?
According to the FPSHQ model, 39% of the GPUs in the database deliver 60+ FPS at 1440p High. For example, a GeForce RTX 4070 Super gets 80 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p High. See the tier list (fpshq.com/tiers/) for GPUs by class and the FPS calculator for the exact FPS of your GPU + game pair.
What is a PC bottleneck?
A bottleneck is the PC component that limits the others: for example, a weak CPU cannot keep up with a powerful GPU, so FPS stays below what the GPU could deliver. The FPSHQ calculator shows what limits your CPU + GPU pair: fpshq.com/bottleneck/

Methodology and sources

This page uses the FPSHQ database: the GPU and CPU catalogue with synthetic benchmark scores, official game system requirements, FPS measurements from users of the FPSHQ app and the FPSHQ performance model. Calculated values are estimates, not a measurement of your exact configuration: the real result depends on drivers, settings and the rest of the hardware. More about the methodology →
