How PC Power Test works
FPSHQ PC Power Test is an online PC power assessment tool with a database of 2400+ GPUs and 1500+ CPUs. We use component specs and give an FPS forecast in popular games — instantly, without downloading any software.
PC Score formula
PC Score = (GPU_score × 45% + CPU_score × 30% + RAM_score × 10% + Storage_score × 5% + Balance_score × 10%) × 0.1. Where:
- GPU_score — the GPU's bench_score normalized to 1000 (RTX 5090 = 1000, RTX 4090 = 890, RTX 4070 Super = 590).
- CPU_score — gaming_score, normalized the same way.
- RAM_score — 100 for 32+ GB DDR5-6000, 80 for 32 GB DDR4-3600, 60 for 16 GB DDR5, 40 for 16 GB DDR4, 20 for 8 GB.
- Storage_score — 100 for NVMe Gen5, 90 Gen4, 75 Gen3, 50 SATA SSD, 15 HDD.
- Balance_score — how well the CPU and GPU are balanced (no bottleneck).
Tier categories
- Tier S (90-100): 4K Ultra with no compromises. RTX 5090 + Ryzen 9 9950X3D + 64 GB DDR5.
- Tier A (75-89): 1440p Ultra or 4K High with DLSS. RTX 4080 Super / RX 7900 XTX + Ryzen 7.
- Tier B (60-74): 1440p High or 1080p Ultra. RTX 4070 Super / RX 9070 + Ryzen 5/7.
- Tier C (45-59): 1080p Ultra or 1440p Medium. RTX 4060 Ti / RX 7700 XT + Ryzen 5 7600.
- Tier D (30-44): 1080p Medium. RTX 4060 / RX 7600 / GTX 1660 + Ryzen 5 5600.
- Tier F (0-29): Only esports and indie. GTX 1050/1060/1650.

What is the PC Power Test?
PC Power Test is our signature tool that rates your build's power in 30 seconds across 5 factors: GPU (45%), CPU (30%), RAM (10%), storage (5%), overall balance (10%). The result is a PC Score 0-100 and a Tier S/A/B/C/D/F. It is saved as a shareable URL — send it to friends and compare.
How is PC Power Test different from 3DMark?
3DMark runs a real benchmark on your PC (you download a program, install it, wait 10+ minutes). PC Power Test is an instant online calculation based on the known specs of your hardware in our database. Accuracy for understanding "what level my build is" is 95%.
Why compare with friends?
To see who in your group can play on max settings and who needs an upgrade. It is also fun to follow the leaderboard — we publish the top 20 most powerful builds in the world every day.
Can I use it without registration?
Yes. No registration needed. The result is saved under a short ID (e.g., /test/A7K3M9X2) that you can share on any social network. A nickname is optional.
What is a PC Score?
PC Score (0-100) is a composite rating of your build. 90+ = top (RTX 5090, Ryzen 9 9800X3D), 70-89 = high-end (RTX 4070 Super, Ryzen 7), 50-69 = mid-range (RTX 4060, Ryzen 5), 30-49 = budget, 0-29 = outdated. It uses the same algorithm as our tier lists.
Is the power supply considered?
In version 1.0 — no, we assume you have an adequate PSU for the GPU's TDP. In version 2.0 (planned for Q3 2026) we will add PSU, thermal and noise assessment.
What about laptops?
Laptop GPUs differ from desktop ones. For example, the RTX 4080 Mobile is roughly equal to the RTX 4070 Super Desktop in performance. Our database is mostly desktop for now — for laptops choose the closest desktop model and reduce the result by 10-15%.
Can I download a certificate?
Yes! After the test a "Download PDF" button is available — you get a nice certificate with your PC Score, configuration and a QR code to the shareable URL. You can print it or save it to the cloud.
How often is the database updated?
GPUs and CPUs are added within 7 days of release. Bench scores update weekly on Wednesdays accounting for new drivers and game optimization patches.

Enthusiasts with RTX 5090 + Ryzen 9 9950X3D + 64 GB DDR5-7200 + NVMe Gen5. Their PC Score approaches 100. The top updates in real time. Want to make the top? Test your build!
Is it free?
Completely free. No subscriptions, premium modes or ads inside the tool. We earn only from affiliate links to component stores.
Can I embed the test on my site?
